A fine scarce die stamped originally blackened brass example. Crowned "Quis Separabit" scroll over Maid of Erin Harp. Sphinx over 'Egypt' resting on 'Royal Irish Rifles' scroll with strung bugle below. All set within two wreaths of shamrock. Three toned loops to the reverse. VGC.
3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Militia Bns. of the Regiment were formerly the Royal North Down Rifles Militia, the Antrim (Queen's Royal Rifles) Militia, the Royal South Down (Light Infantry) Militia, and the Louth (Rifles) Militia.
